Babies will spend 7-8weeks with their Mom. Then Babies here at the Cotton Patch spend 5-7days in a weaning stall, where they learn to be big baby bunnies away from Mom. During this time babies are not handled by visitors, this allows them to continue to develop a strong immunity. These dates are tentative, we play everything by Bunny Ear here!
Babies will be allowed to go to their new homes starting July 23rd. This date is tentative and assumes Mrs. Sherbert will nurse the babies until they are 8weeks. At 8weeks of age the babies will move into a weaning stall where they will remain for a week while they learn how to big.
Every baby bunny is sent home with a General Care Sheet and a well stocked transitional care package. This is to ensure our babies have the absolute best start possible, so they can grow to be big giant bunnies!
Mrs. Sherbert is a Purebred Tricolored Standard Rex
Mr. Casper is a Ermine (White with Brown Eyes) Purebred Continental Giant.
No real indication of colors yet!
Born bald without any fur, our only color indications are skin tone and whether we see patterns. There are some pink bodied, some solid dark bodied, some pink with spots, we shall see!
The babies fur is coming in and we can see a little of their colors emerging.
Babies are so much bigger in just two days.
Looks like we have a couple harlequin colored babies!
We have a couple tri-colored babies.
Sherbie is doing a great job, nice chubby babies.
With their eyes just opened the babies are light sensitive and shy.
Some of the babies are curious, despite how new everything is!
As the babies get bigger we can see their color developing, along with those personalities!
Baby bunnies go through many stages of socialization. When their eyes initially open they are quite shy and fearful. The next week, this week, emboldened and adventurous!
On the left here we have a tri-colored Baby it has a white body with Fawn/Red Spots with Black Spots appearing sporadically. On the Right we have a Harlequin Colored Baby, this is a Fawn/Red Body, with mottling of white with black.
Hard to picture at this age because they are quick to come in and explore and run away!
Sherbert had to come see what all the fuss was about and see if there was any snacks!
This baby is White Bodied with Fawn (red) spots, no black.
This week you can clearly see the Continental Giant in these Rex crossed babies! Their ears have already surpassed Mom's ears and are taking off!
D2 - A Tri-Colored Doe has spots of black on her ears, with a black mark near/on her left eye.
This guy is super adorable, with his Right Black half mustache!

D1's Harlequin or black coloring is primarily on the left side of her face, which gives her a really cute look!
This sweet girl has petite tri-colored markings! But look at those ears, in the next week they are going to only going to get bigger!
